Over 500 attend GADVASU alumni reunion : The Tribune India

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, organized “GADVASU Alumni Meet-2022”. More than 500 participants from various backgrounds viz. veterinarians, fisheries, dairy sciences and biotechnology participated in the event. Dr. RP Saigal, former senior student and former Dean of the College of Veterinary Sciences, was the guest of honor on this occasion.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Inderjeet Singh addressed the alumni and encouraged them to do their best in their respective areas of expertise in order to uplift the profession as well as society. He also praised the role played by professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Subhash Chander, Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Punjab, mentioned that such events not only help alumni to meet their friends and colleagues but also to share their professional experiences. He also thanked the university authorities for organizing this event.
Technical sessions were conducted in the respective colleges of the university where experts from relevant fields shared their knowledge and experiences and exchanged their ideas.
A short film on the creation and activities of GADVASU was screened. Three volumes of Vet Alumnus, GADVASU, Phone Book and Livestock Statistics Handbook have been published.
The afternoon session started with the participation of elders and the sharing of experiences. The vet, Dr. Lakhwinder Singh, recited “Shabad.”
Several activities, including poems, songs, and single-actors, were performed. A group dance was performed by the GADVASU faculty.
