Many Important Services Will Be Down On Sunday During Security Update | E-News
Faculty, staff, and students on all campuses will not be able to log into many important services that require WVU login credentials from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, October 3, during the Quarterly System Security Update. single sign-on.
Relevant services will include, without limitation, the portal; STAR and STAR related systems; eCampus; MENU; Applaud; Selling power ; high performance computing; Kuali (WVU + kc); WVUHire (Taleo); Mountaineers market; My spend ; FTP and bulk mailing services such as LISTSERV; and Zoom meetings that require a WVU connection.
The login.wvu.edu self-service site will also be unavailable, so you won’t be able to claim accounts, change passwords, generate Duo codes, or update your recovery contact information during this time.
Several services that authenticate through a different system (Active Directory, ADFS) should be available, including: WVU.Encrypted, WVU.Guest, and WVU.Play wireless networks; Virtual private network; Microsoft 365 services, including Teams and Outlook; SharePoint; the 25 Live room reservation system; and the SOLE system in health sciences.
IT directors in colleges and departments should be prepared to validate the applications they manage after this maintenance is complete.
It is common to see an error message when trying to log in after a system update. If you have any issues after completing this job, try clearing your web browser history, closing your web browser, and relaunching it. Restarting your device will also clear cached pages.
