ISLAMABAD, Aug 7 (APP): The Pakistani government of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken the lead in producing and launching an online digital directory of filming locations across Pakistan, in accordance with the 2021 Moving Picture Policy .
The repertoire will facilitate filmmakers at home and abroad. It included information relating to the location of the film such as the location coordinates of nearby accommodation various accessibility options road, airports, train and weather conditions.
The announcement of the launch of the online digital directory was made at an event organized to kick off the digitization of state media organizations; including Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), Pakistan Television, Radio Pakistan and Digital Media Wing (DMW) at a ceremony held here at the Pakistan-China Friendship Center.
These are the historic steps taken by Pakistani government Tehreek-e-Insaf to commercialize the beauty of the country. Directors and producers of the film around the world, through a mobile application and a web portal, can access the locations of the magnificent film in Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by President Dr. Arif Alvi, Begum Samina Alvi, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib ,
Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaisar, Minister of Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari, Senator Faisal Javed, parliamentarians, journalists and officials of the Ministry of Information and State Media.
