Deadline approaches for edition of Soroptimist International-Willits 50th Anniversary Telephone Directory – The Ukiah Daily Journal

In a digital age where phone books are rarer than chicken teeth to find, the Willits community is lucky to have people who think the book is still a good resource.

The Willits Community Phone Book 2022 is a gem presented to the Willits community by Soroptimist International of Willits (SI-Willits).

Founded on October 3, 1921, Soroptimist International is a worldwide voluntary service organization for women working for peace, and in particular to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and around the world.

The deadline to be entered in the book is February 10.

SI-Willits is a small club of seven women who are all “very proud that this is our 50th edition,” said their president Barbara O’Reardon, a member of the organization for ten years.

Vicki Ham, former president of SI-Willits and currently founder, governor-elect of the region (to become governor for a two-year term in July) said: “This year we made sure that every member of the club took part in the phone book, from reducing posting last year’s ads, assembling mailings, reviewing last year’s residential numbers, raising funds and designing the cover. »

In addition to the advertisement, according to Ham, the book contains local home, cell and business phone numbers.

The ads are important because they help fund the creation of the phone book as well as several projects focused on women and girls, including scholarships, book programs and cash awards.

Accuracy is paramount and the club relies on community input – if you have a change, wish to be included, excluded or make other adjustments, please let the club know by the February 10 deadline. Of course, no changes can be made after the book is printed.

The ad is available in a range of sizes and formats, and that deadline is also February 10 – contact them immediately via email: for more information, questions, edits, additions, deletions and more.
